Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter at WPDE-TV. She later became a morning news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reportage on the streets of Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these cases. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell's experience in Charleston led her to serve as co-anchor, investigative report and anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before becoming a part of Access Hollywood she was a anchor on the weekdays and was also NBC's weekend co-anchor. O'Dell, as well as being the anchor of Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She co-hosted several of Pre-ShowArrivals programs for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. The host of the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
